The purpose of this dissertation is to discover the influences that motivate, or de-motivate, national church planters to persevere in their mission to plant churches in Moldova. The small Eastern European country was part of the Soviet Union for almost fifty years. In 1991, Moldova gained independence, but still faces many challenges. Moldova is the poorest country in Eastern Europe and many Moldovans have migrated in search of work. This situation has drained the country of both human and economic resources.
