The National Council of French Evangelicals (CNEF) has defined a national goal of establishing one church for every ten thousand inhabitants. Translated in church planting objectives, this means planting four thousand new churches out of the two thousand existing ones. These representatives also agree that one of the key starting points for this goal is the training of a new generation of church planters. In 2006 this author started a mentored educational program called R2E (translated Student Evangelists Network) which seeks to train one hundred emerging evangelists.
