Within the significant body of literature on sexual abuse, there is minimal research on the impact of sexual abuse on missionaries. This mixed-methods research examined the effects of childhood sexual abuse on missionaries. Nine missionaries volunteered for this study. These participants, who were sexually abused as children, were interviewed, administered the Barkley Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale (BDEFS) online, an ecologically valid assessment of executive functioning deficits in daily life activities, and completed a demographic form. The results of the interviews, the BDEFS, and the demographic form were examined to discover possible trends.
